Toshiba AT300 quad-core Android tablet with ICS.

Android tablets boasting a screen size of 10.1 inch are a growing breed. Being the owner of such a tablet I can vouch that they are definitely not too big to be both portable or too small to be user-friendly. At least the majority are not. In my humble opinion 10.1 inch is the optimal dimension to choose. So news of Toshiba AT300 joining the 10.1 club is fantastic.

Here at Heavenly Android we can't quite believe that we're still busily sifting through the vast amount of Android technology announced at Mobile World Congress 2012. We've finally got around to ZTE, a Chinese company that, much like Huawei, only emerged from the shadows in 2011, finally putting their own brand to their products. ZTE didn't disappoint either, with an armful of new Android phones and tablets announced.

Amongst eight new ZTE Android/Windows mobile devices announced at Mobile World Congress 2012, ZTE Era is the star of ZTE's Android smartphone show. ZTE's flagship device, it promises to be a little healthy competition for other big players this year. It also happens to be the Chinese OEM's most high end phone to date, and did I forget to say that it is dangerously sexy!

ZTE PF 100 was amongst a host of ZTE Android/Windows devices announced at MWC 2012. It's a quad-core Android tablet that runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) straight out of the box. Among its siblings are ZTE T98 (7 inch Android tablet) and ZTE Era (Android phone), that both also run on quad-core processors. Quite a cool collection for a company, who until last year, wasn't known to consumers by its own name.

Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD.

Huawei trampled the majority of competition when they waltzed into Mobile World Congress 2012 with their arms full of impressive Android smartphones and Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD. Their Android tablet joined a trio of smartphones; Huawei Ascend D Quad XL, Huawei Ascend D Quad and Huawei Ascend D1 at the Huawei booth. Huawei have clearly done their homework, and no sacrifices have been in terms of specs, each one has received a healthy dose of TLC.

Huawei Ascend D quad is the second quad-core creation announced by Huawei at Mobile World Congress 2012. What makes this particular phone and its slightly more impressive sibling, Huawei Ascend D quad XL, stand out from the very crowded MWC crowd is the addition of Huawei's own K3V2 chipset, which according to Huawei, is speedier than the usual Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset we see in quad-core devices.
