 Computex 2012, held in TaiPei brought, amongst other tablet specific news, info regarding what is likely to be one of the cheapest Tegra 3 quad-core tablets. News like this is very exciting and very 2012. As Tegra 3 and quad-core is slowly drip fed into Android's newest phones and tablets, any devices that are within reach of mere mortals, rather than just those blessed with a bulging bank balance, are very welcome.  In the heart of England, an unknown company by the name of Ergo Electronics has just unveiled a cut-price set of Android tablets that will hopefully set a new standard for affordable Android tablets. Birmingham's Gadget Show Live 2012 was the venue that Sam Goult, Ergo Electronics director of design, chose to showcase five new Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) entry-level tablets.  Parents have been searching high and low for a perfect Android tablet to suit their children's needs, at a budget friendly cost. There are already a couple knocking about, but unfortunately Nabi Pad is only available in the US at present and Sakar's Hello Kitty Android tablet, which was announced at CES back in January, has no UK release date as of yet. It is a Godsend therefore, to know that a child friendly Android tablet, in the form of Archos Arnova ChildPad is now available in the UK!  A Hello Kitty Android tablet has been unveiled at CES 2012. Aimed at Android's youngest customers, who all want to get their grubby little hands on the very latest gadgets just like mum and dad, it's bound to be a resounding success. Although Little Kitty is obviously for the girls, we're sure that boys themes will soon follow.  As Heavenly Android was browsing press releases from earlier this year we came across a peculiar one from a little known company by the name of Jexaa. They promised to educate UK citizens in the art of purchasing Android technology at up to half the price of other leading brands on a like to like basis. They said that they were the ones to supply such cheap and high spec devices that would rival the likes of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Did they deliver on their promise?  Who would have thought it? The worlds very first Android tablet with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) already on board, also happens to be one of the cheapest on the market. If you live in China you can pick one up for the equivilant of £60. If you live in the UK you can also pick one up, although the price is bumped up to £102.35 when shipping costs are factored in. Still as cheap as chips.  It is getting harder and harder to keep tabs on the increasingly large and fragmented Android arena. Every day there is another tablet or smartphone to consider. To say there is a specs war is possibly an understatement, and a consequence of this is that there is no definitive winner in the race to become Android's supreme ruler. High end tablets are usually still lacking in one department or another, and low-end tablets are more fragmented and diverse than ever.  Kids! Aren't they just adorable? The trouble is that they grow up so fast nowadays. Your cute little 3 year old daughter is as likely to want make-up and smellies for Xmas as a cuddly and interactive Milky rabbit, which incidentally is one of the must have toys of the year for youngsters. There is every probability that as soon as you take a quick look at your Android phone or tablet your little one will try to get in on the act. Writing that email becomes nigh on impossible as inquisitive chocolate covered little fingers poke and prod at the touchscreen.  Heavenly Android likes a good old rummage in Android's bargain basement. We're always happy to plug a cheap as (week old) chips deal, as long as it's not a complete damp squib. With Xmas just around the corner and the remaining shopping days being gobbled faster than you can think what to buy, we thought we would bring 2 more budget Android tablets to your attention.
