Sony Tablet S has been unleashed into the UK market. Released on September 16th this year, you can now get your hands on this wedge shaped piece of android entertainment. The final name of Sony's tablet has been tweaked ever so slightly, changing from Sony S1 to Sony S. Radical! Luckily for you, nothing else has changed and you get exactly what was promised.

Ergonomical Design

Sony S weighs in at a respectable 598 grams, and is designed in a unique, curvy wedge shape, to fascilitate typing and viewing at an easier, more natural angle, especially while sitting down. Equally unique is the rubber material that covers the underside of Sony S, giving it a very stable feel in your hands, as though there is zero chance of it slipping from your grip. Out of any Android tablets that I've handled, although others such as Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 are ultra thin and sexy, this has to be my favourite thus far. Despite the odd shape and rubber material Sony Tablet S's killer looks are in no way compromised.

Built to Entertain You

With entertainment value of paramount importance, Sony has an arsenal of weapons up its sleeve to ensure your every need is served. A large 9.4 inch screen graces the front of Sony S, enhanced to the max with Sony TruBlack, which ensures your viewing pleasure with vibrant colours and crisp, sharp image quality.

Fancy a game of Crash Bandicoot? Sony Tablet S is the first Android tablet which is PlayStation certified. Play your favourites such as Crash Bandicoot, Pinball Heroes and download other original PlayStation titles online. Don't worry, you can still play Angry Birds and thousands of other games accessed via Google Android Market.

Take advantage of the built in DNLA media app, and stream your videos, music etc to your other devices around the home such as; TV, home cinema system and PC.

You need never be short of music and video content, simply access Sony Video/Music Unlimited (subject to a monthly subscription fee). If you're a bookworm like myself, visit Sony's e-book Reader Store from your tablet and browse through over 2.4 million novels.

Universal Remote

Our favourite feature of all has to be Sony Tablet S's universal Infrared remote control. Almost every major brand is covered, simply select from a drop-down or type your model number in. If your device cannot be found you can email Sony for advice. Your TV, Blu-ray player, HiFi system and cable box can all be controlled from your Android tablet. Now that's what we're talking about!

Available Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi/3G.
