Panasonic Eluga - Panasonic's First Android Phone Release in Europe

Panasonic Eluga is waterproof and dustproof.

It was back in December that we heard rumours of Panasonic phone-cameras that we could expect to see arriving sometime in 2012. Panasonic Eluga is the first of such Android phones that's booked its ticket to Europe sometime in Q1/Q2 2012. It was officially announced recently at the Panasonic Convention 2012 in Hamburg, Germany, and although missing the super camera we anticipated, we are still very excited.

It's been over a year since Samsung released its first entry level Android phone, Samsung Galaxy Mini, an affordable competitor for the likes of mega popular HTC Wildfire. It's only to be expected therefore that Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 (S6500) has been announced and is on its way shortly. Galaxy Mini 2 will be winding its way through the many roads of Europe, starting its journey in France around Easter, although we have no idea at this point when it will park up in the UK.

Samsung have an ace up their sleeve, one that they've just announced on 20th February, ahead of Mobile World Congress 2012. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is on its way folks, and it should be with us here in the UK around April. A second Samsung Galaxy Mini was also announced alongside Galaxy Ace 2, which is to be released in France initially by March, before being released globally.

Okay, there's no such thing as a 'Phonlet', but here at Heavenly Android we've chosen this fitting moniker to describe an Android smartphone that's stuck somewhere in the middle of a phone and tablet, neither large enough to be a tablet nor small enough to be a phone.

LG 3D Max to be Showcased at MWC 2012?

Is LG 3D Max on its way?

There have only been two glassless 3D Android handsets to date, HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 3D respectively. Although this was exciting news in Q1 2011, the smartphones were not the runaway success that LG and HTC may have hoped for. Even so, there is a hint that we will be hearing about a second generation 3D LG Android phone very soon. Reports claim that LG Optimus 3D's successor will drop 'Optimus' from its name and simply be called LG 3D Max (CX2).

Samsung Galaxy S3 is Real & it's on its Way Soon to the UK

During CES 2012 Samsung delighted in teasing journalists with hints that there was about to be a new Samsung Galaxy S Android phone, number 3 to be exact. The rumours are growing by the day and it now seems almost certain that Samsung Galaxy S3 will be officially announced at Mobile World Congress in just a few days time, at least if you believe mobile reviewer Eldar Murtazin.

Disney Android Phones Come With an Extra Ahhh Factor

It's no surprise to learn that Walt Disney have taken a slice of Android pie. Just as it won't be a shock when/if Virgin announce their own Android smartphone/tablet, it was only a matter of time before Disney emerged into this market. It's a wise move on Disney's part, as kids become increasingly aware of technology at earlier ages, and they want a piece of the Android action... Disney style.

Both Motorola Defy Mini XT320 and Motorola Motoluxe XT615 were previewed at CES in January to an eager audience. Two new affordable Android phones, and the good news is that they will be sailing to UK shores in late February/ early March, all being well.
