Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-19070 UK Specs & Release Date

Samsung Galaxy S Advance is on its way folks. While we're on the subject of Samsung, they've been rather hyperactive just lately, with heaps of ideas up their creative sleeves, including a promise that all their future ventures concerning smartphones/tablets will have improved battery life. They will be the hero of Android if their prediction comes to pass. Beforehand, Samsung may be just about to treat the UK to its very first budget priced dual core handset.

The problem is that people are a little tired of the same smartphone spewed out over and over again, which is happening with a few manufacturers, with hardly any real difference between models. There seems to be a general consensus within the mobile phone industry that it's likely to be entry-level. If the final tag was to be around £150-£200 this phone is sure to be a people pleaser.

There is little difference between Galaxy Advance and other Galaxy S models such as Samsung Galaxy S Plus, other than a useless hike to 768 RAM  (Samsung Plus has 512 RAM) and a slightly worse battery (1500 mAh compared to Galaxy Plus 1650 mAh). There is a 4.0 inch Super Amoled capacitive touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass which offers protection against scratches. A 5 MP rear camera is complimented with the addition of a 1.3 front facing snapper. Then of course you have a dual core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor but sadly there's an absence of a GPU. There's also no sniff of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) at this point, but if this is offered at some point, and the price is right it will be an overall decent little phone.

Samsung GT-19070 Galaxy S Advance is due to be announced at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, in just a couple of weeks from now, but 3 Mobile has let slip early that it will be supporting this phone. Due to hit Europe sometime in February, Heavenly Android will update as information becomes available.
