LG Optimus TrueHD LTE P936 - Release Date and Specifications

It seems just lately that the UK is getting sidelined in terms of new Android phone availability. One of the main reasons for this is not unfair favouritism or anything else unsavoury, but rather the lack of 4G and LTE. LG Optimus TrueHD LTE P936 is one such phone that may just pass us by unless we get a move on!

LG Optimus TrueHD LTE P936, Android phone will be released across Europe and Asia.

The rest of Europe and Asia can expect to enjoy some LG loving real soon, with Germany being the first drop off point, closely followed by Sweden, Portugal, Singapore and Hong Kong. To add a little extra darkness to the already bleak picture, it seems that LG has confirmed that there are no future plans to consider releasing LG Optimus TrueHD LTE in the UK.

We're used to seeing tardiness in the world of Android, with almost every new Android phone being fashionably late, and due to this, certain phones get dropped by carriers before they're even off the production line. Blighty seems to be having the same effect, its sheer laziness in getting crucial 4G and LTE network updates is leaving us behind at an increasing rate, and manufacturers are leaving us out of the equation. Lets hope that 4G arrives sometime this year rather than 2013, as was originally quoted.

What is the UK Missing out On?

LG Optimus TrueHD LTE is, in fact, not a new Android phone. It's already run the circuit around Korea, Japan, USA and Canada, simply with a different moniker; Nitro HD (At&T), Spectrum (Verizon) and Optimus LTE.

It's also already proved its popularity, with a mouth-watering 4.5 inch TrueHD IPS, 720 x 1280 pixel screen, a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and an 8 MP rear facing camera. Yes, you've guessed that it comes with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on board, but as per usual there's a guaranteed update due to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

There is 4 GB of storage, 1 GB RAM and a microSD card slot that allows up to an extra 32 GB of memory - and get this, it comes with a massive 16 GB SD card!

We would be interested to hear our lovely readers opinion regarding UK's lack of 4G and LTE. Are you beyond annoyed or couldn't you care less? We need to make a stand if we want to be heard.

At least we have Samsung Galaxy S3 to look forward to!
