Samsung Galaxy S 3 - Myth Becomes Reality

One announcement that was expected at Mobile World Congress 2012 that never came to pass was Samsung Galaxy S 3. We have speculated since January, when Samsung teased its audience with hints at CEO, whether there is about to be a third Galaxy S. It seems that Samsung are closer than you would anticipate to a global release of this anticipated Android handset.

Techradar recently reported that ZDNet Korea have leaked news of an impending release date of April, which is yet again hard to imagine, especially with no official press release as of yet. Unless you count the exact source that passed the info to ZDNet Korea, which was apparently Samsung's marketing agency 'Cheil Worldwide', which makes the news more believable.

Is this the Samsung Galaxy S 3 Android phone?

The Daily Mail online also seems convinced that we'll be seeing Samsung Galaxy S 3, touted as a rival to Apple iPhone 5, on UK soil in time for Easter, and goes one step further, stating that the UK will be the first country to get its impatient paws on Samsung Galaxy S 3 as part of an Olympics deal.

It is still to early to have full spec details, although the guesswork is slowly morphing to cold, hard facts. It seems certain that Galaxy S 3 will be a quad-core beast, with an Exynos processor. There's likely to be a 4.8 inch screen with a HD display.

The Korean electronic company stated: 'The successor to the Galaxy S2 smartphone will be unveiled at a Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, close to commercial availability of the product.'

Here at Heavenly Android we just wish they'd get a move on as we're fast losing patience and sleep waiting for concrete confirmation!
