We are facing difficult times. The UK economy is on its way through a double-dip recession, with a possible triple-dip recession if something doesn't give soon. Purse strings have never been tighter for the general population, with jobs almost extinct, and bottles of coins being emptied and counted all across the country. In short, it isn't much fun. This is where Android excels, with so many handsets being within reach of even the most hard-up amongst us. Android has a vast range of entry-level handsets that can be bought for less than £100.

Sony Xperia J ST26i completes the trio of new Sony Xperia smartphones expected to be officially outed in the next few days when the IFA technology show begins in Germany. Samsung Galaxy S III has been the darling of Summer 2012. With its extremely prestigious status as the official Olympic smartphone, and the fact that it has arguably been the handset with the most X factor in terms of specs, it is definitely one that the competition need to look out for. Rumour has it there are two new Sony Android handsets just around the corner. We're pretty sure that Sony's catalogue must be bursting at the seams by now, but we're always happy to see a new addition from this iconic manufacturer.
