As we reported on Monday, Samsung's marketing machine was still in full swing concerning the most anticipated Android phone of 2012, Samsung Galaxy S3. Hints and insinuations were increasing by the millisecond, with rumoured specs leaked via numerous sources including a video on Amazon Germany that was promptly removed.
Another even more mysterious clue was ticking down on that very day, on a cryptically entitled webpage belonging to Samsung themselves you could access with URL: http://www.tgeltaayehxnx.com/. I waited with growing anticipation for the countdown clock that was revealed to reach zero, at 12 noon, expecting to be presented with true and correct mind blowing specs for the smartphone that is the Olympic Games official sponsor.
Due to the extortionate volume of equally interested traffic, the wait limped on and on, until eventually the same cryptic anagram as the URL was displayed underneath a message that read: 'You've got it all mixed up. Following technology blindly often gets you nowhere'.
However, once the anagram was solved, by clicking on the letters to spell 'The Next Galaxy', I was sent to a page with a video that you can watch below, and a generous invitation to join Samsung at their Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 venue on Thursday May 3rd, when all will become clear and the never ending blog posts concerning half facts can at last be put to bed for the final time.
The invitation extends to every person who has any interest, and the brilliant bit about it is that you can download a free Android app so that on the day you'll get all the juicy information as it happens. There's a clock counting down the days, minutes and seconds on the top right hand corner, and insightful sections including; Event Schedule, Event Location and Teaser that you can view now, plus three that are unavailable until May 3rd which are; UNPACKED Live, Press Release and New Product.
I don't know about you, but the anticipation is killing me, I just hope that the wait was really worth it!
